The 3M™ Scott™ SEMS II (Site Equipment Monitoring System) is a real-time firefighter accountability and safety solution that connects every SCBA wearer on the fireground directly to the incident command post. Designed to support over 100 personnel on scene, SEMS II enhances fireground awareness, reduces response times, and improves firefighter survivability in rapidly changing conditions.

Key Features:

• Fully Integrated with 3M™ Scott™ Air-Pak™ SCBA

• Works through the Pak-Alert PASS device, combining motion detection, manual emergency activation, and air pressure monitoring

• Integrated with Pak Tracker Firefighter Locator for rapid search and rescue operations

• Built-in wireless transceiver enables two-way communication between firefighter and incident command

• Uses 2.4 GHz mesh networking for extended range and uninterrupted communication

• Designed for use with standard PC-compatible laptops and SEMS II software (not included)

What It Monitors:

• Cylinder air pressure

• Motion or immobility (man-down alert)

• PASS activation status

• Link status between SCBA and command base

• Time on scene

• EVAC signal reception (group, individual, or all)

Accountability Options:

• SCBA-based Identification – Assigns seat-position or unit-based accountability

• RFID Personal Tagging – Use programmable RFID cards to link specific firefighters to specific SCBAs

• Auto Log-In – Tags automatically register at scene when SCBA is turned on

• Manual Alarm Reset – Firefighters can reset their PASS or manually activate for assistance

• Glove-friendly buttons for easy operation

• Mechanical pressure gauge and LED screen

• Visual and audible feedback for alarms, PASS status, EVAC, and range

• Dual piezo alarms and flashing LEDs to ensure alerts are received

Mesh Networking Advantage:

The SEMS II system forms a self-healing communication mesh between all active SCBA units, using other wearers as nodes to maintain a signal path to command—even in large or complex structures.

Incident Data Recording:

• Automatically logs events (PASS alarms, pressure levels, EVAC calls, timestamps)

• Stores data by firefighter ID and SCBA tag

• Enables post-incident reporting and performance analysis

• Compatible with touchscreen tablets and standard PCs
