The Makita GSC01M1 is a powerful cordless solution designed for fast, efficient cutting of common metal materials on demanding jobsites. Built on Makita’s advanced 40V max XGT® platform, this 7-1/4" metal cutting saw delivers the performance needed for cutting pipe, conduit, strut, angle iron, square tubing, sheet metal, and more, all without the limitations of cords.

Equipped with a Makita-built brushless motor, the GSC01M1 delivers up to 2X faster cutting performance and up to 160 cuts per charge in 2-1/2" x 2-1/2" x 1/4" steel angle using the included 40V max XGT® 4.0Ah battery. The large 2-5/8" cutting capacity allows users to handle a wide range of metal cutting applications with ease. 

The saw is engineered with Active Feedback-Sensing Technology (AFT®), which electronically shuts off the motor if blade rotation is suddenly forced to stop, helping improve operator safety during demanding cuts. An integrated electric brake increases productivity, while the built-in chip collector helps maintain a cleaner work area. 

Additional convenience features include an LED work light with pre-glow and afterglow illumination, on-board hex wrench storage, side-loading battery design for improved maneuverability in tight spaces, and a rubberized soft-grip handle for increased comfort during extended use. Makita’s Extreme Protection Technology (XPT™) enhances durability by improving dust and water resistance in harsh jobsite environments.
