The Pelican 9455 Remote Area Lighting System (RALS) is a compact, rechargeable portable scene light specifically engineered for hazardous environments where safe, reliable illumination is critical. Designed for firefighters, industrial crews, utility workers, hazmat teams, and confined space operations, the 9455 is the world’s first remote area light certified for Class I Division 1, ATEX Zone 0, and IECEx ia hazardous locations. 

Built for demanding emergency response and industrial applications, the 9455 produces up to 1,600 lumens of LED output with a wide 125-degree beam angle to help illuminate work areas, confined spaces, manholes, industrial sites, and emergency scenes safely and efficiently. The rechargeable NiMH battery system delivers up to 10 hours of runtime, supporting extended operational periods without the need for generators or fuel-powered lighting. 

The lightweight fold-down design weighs approximately 16 lbs. and collapses into a compact self-contained unit for easy transport and apparatus storage. Dual light modes allow crews to select between high and low output settings depending on scene requirements, while the integrated low battery warning indicator helps prevent unexpected power loss during operations. 

Constructed with Pelican’s rugged polycarbonate and ABS housing, the 9455 is engineered to withstand harsh field conditions while maintaining dependable performance in hazardous atmospheres where traditional lighting systems may not be safe to operate.
